Last Thursday, Viper Imaging announced the official opening of its new 10,000 square foot office and production facility on Valleydale Road. A successful pivot at the onset of the pandemic has grown sales for its thermal imaging systems by over 300 percent and fueled hiring, growing its team to 28 employees, a more than twofold increase since March 2020. Great news! In the US, new business applications are up by double digits compared to last year. In Alabama, new business starts are ~33% higher in 2020 compared to 2019.

Venture Atlanta, the largest venture investor conference in the Southeast, is happening virtually this week, October 21 - 22. Three-Birmingham-based startups – Immediate, Mixtroz and QuantHub – will be featured at the conference.
